Maya Hansen is the designer behind the MAYA HANSEN label. Maya is half-Argentinian, half-Danish. She was born and raised in Spain where she got a degree in Fashion Design at prestigious Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid in the year 2002.

 

Maya Hansen presents her collections at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid since 2010 and her corset line is also showcased at the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris.

 

Maya Hansen vision of womenswear focuses on a new elegance based on creativity and women shapes. The mixture of fabrics from lace to neoprene with structured patterns that are inspired by the classic corsetry, turns her designs into a new vision of couture.

 

Corsets are understood like soft shapers and lay the foundations to develop the rest of the pieces. Innovation on materials and collaboration with artists and artisans to make 'one of a kind' pieces is always present in MAYA HANSEN collections.

 

Celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, Nadja Auermann, Rossy de Palma, Laura Pausini, Nieves Álvarez, Violet Chachki or Bea Ackerlund, worn Maya Hansen creations.

 

Photographers such as Mario Testino, Met and Marcus, Steven Klein, Luigi and Iango, did work with Maya Hansen´s pieces for publications such as VOGUE, ELLE, Harper´s Bazaar, V Magazine or CR Book.

 

Maya Hansen has collaborated with brands such as Swarovski (manufacturing an Swarovski crystals corset with more than 6.000 pieces of crystal), Samsung, Schweppes or Mercedes-Benz.
